was the first leader of the Vice Lords. He led the CVL from its fighting
and hustling phase as well as into its transformation into a community
He left Chicago and went to Dartmouth University, as part of the innovative Foundation Years program. one of the few African Americans at that Ivy League institution. The CVL later sponsored a scholarship program for Black students in Chicago to go to Dartmouth.
Pep was well known and loved on the streets of Lawndale. He has passed and is sorely missed.
